Domestic cable and wire industry has urged

The domestic cable and wire industry has urged for strict legislation to be introduced by the government to prevent real estate developers from using fake electrical goods.

The number of electrocution deaths in the nation has climbed within the past ten years. According to R R Kabel Managing Director Shreegopal Kabra, more people die from smoke inhalation during a fire breakout than from the fire itself on Wednesday in his report.

In India, there is growing worry over counterfeit goods. Legislation must be introduced in order to impose strict penalties on real estate developers that utilize fake or inferior wires and cables, according to Kabra.

Elmex Group Managing Director Vipul Ray said “electrical fire safety plays a critical role in any structure, be it an educational institution, a hospital, or a public space. As per a report, 35 people were killed on average due to fire mishaps in the last five years in India”.

“When a product’s quality is compromised, this occurs. It is imperative that lawmakers enact stringent legislation with improved enforcement that encourages preemptive measures to address the issue,” he declared.
S Gopa Kumar, Managing Director of Cape Electric, stated, “With this initiative, we urge people to ensure consumers’ safety and boycott counterfeit products.”
