Amsterdam, 15 February 2024 – CTP, Europe’s largest listed developer, owner, and manager of industrial and logistics properties by gross lettable area (GLA), has signed a lease agreement with PKV BUILD, a leading player in energy consulting, for 3,000 sqm of new office space which is currently being built by CTP at its premium Vlněna office complex in Brno, Czech Republic.
In times of pressing energy challenges, the two businesses are joining forces in Brno to help their clients strategically embrace the topic of sustainability. This new office space will provide PKV with not only the latest technology and sustainable solutions, but also nearly 3,000 sqm of office space across four floors, which will be ready by the end of 2024.
PKV’s success and growth in energy consulting is closely linked to the dynamic transformation of the European energy sector, which is increasingly focused on sustainability, energy self-sufficiency and the integration of renewable energy sources. PKV has been working on this issue for eleven years, during which time it has made sustainable energy a source of profit and self-sufficiency for companies and cities. PKV began its cooperation with CTP in 2020, when the company leased nearly 900 sqm of offices in the Vlněna complex. After a year of dynamic growth, their team grew so large that the Enmon subsidiary moved into the CTP Clubco co-working space. Today, the entire PKV team of over 130 energy experts occupies two floors in Vlněna and is preparing to move into premium offices in Building I, which the developer is adapting for them.
Jiří Pech, CEO of PKV, explained:
“At PKV, we help companies to become more energy independent so that they can remain competitive and profitable. Our expansion in Vlněna therefore makes a lot of sense. In fact, the most modern and sustainable building in Vlněna symbolizes the direction we, our clients and CTP are taking. It is an important change especially for our employees – a quality working environment affects their daily performance. The location in the city centre is conducive to sustainable transport. The campus ripples in creating a community with other residents of the Wave. The new space allows our PKV group to continue to grow. Growth in turn will allow us to meet the demand for reducing our carbon footprint and moving towards energy independence for businesses and communities of energy transition. We appreciate the tremendous flexibility of CTP, which has always been able to provide us with the space we have just needed at different stages of our development.”
Building I is being built by CTP on the site of a former Brno brownfield. The building will boast a unique glass sawtooth facade and will be equipped with the latest smart technologies, including smart lighting and air quality control. With these technologies, along with targeting a minimal carbon footprint and achieving the highest BREEAM and WELL certifications, this Studio acht-designed building aspires to be the most modern and sustainable office building in Europe. At 61 metres high and with an investment of 600 million crowns, it underlines its importance and contribution to the transformation of urban space, setting new standards for the working environment of the future.
Jakub Kodr, Managing Director and Commercial Director of CTP in the Czech Republic, added:
“Our long-term partnership with PKV is not just about providing space, it is an example of great synergy that helps turn visionary projects into reality. Building I represents a milestone both for PKV in their successful growth and for us in pushing the bar for our projects, by creating an aesthetic experience, but also exceptional functionality and energy efficiency.”
